Rosella The Rosella flowers are used to make herbal tea infusions in many places around the world and are known under different names such as Flor de Jamaica, Rose mallow, China Rose, Egyptian red tea and Hibiscus. It is believed to possess health benefits, for example to lower blood pressure. It is also mildly diuretic and laxative.
Use 2-3 flowers for a small-medium teapot, steep in hot boiling hot water for 4-6 minutes. Strain into your cup, sweeten with sugar or honey. It makes a refreshing infusion, served hot or chilled with plenty of ice.
